Hi, I'm Heather a Hydrologist or in other words a person who studies the movement, distribution and management of water on earth. Water pollution from stormwater, agriculture and wastewater are off particular interest to me along with microplastic pollution.

The Course
Blue Planet: Code Critical - Ways in which we can protect our water resources

Ever since I can remember I have been obsessed about water, continuously asking my parents how deep rivers are and how fast do they flow. My dream became a reality when I finished my Masters degree in Hydrology and became a Hydrologist measuring the flows of rivers across Scotland and doing flood risk assessments.

I plan to do each discussion/ workshop in a logical way so topics that are linked and naturally flow on from the previous one

The majority of courses are aimed at people who are already within the field of Hydrology and poccess hydrological knowledge- I aim to provide a grassroots course, starting with the absolute basics so it will appeal to the non-scientific community. I aim to bridge the gap between science and the everyday person.
